Official communication from Tomorrowland on tomorrowmand Belgium 2021
People of Tomorrow,
We are delighted and grateful to hear that the Belgian Government has given a realistic perspective for large festivals in Belgium towards the end of the summer. This perspective is not only hopeful for Tomorrowland as an organization, but also for the more than 1500 suppliers and their staff.
We want to study the guidelines and parameters from the National Government in the next days, so that we can properly communicate the different scenarios and implications.
With a combination of vaccination and rapid testing at the door, we believe we can make Tomorrowland a safe place, which so many people have been looking forward to for so long. We will take every measure and guideline very seriously and apply all the right protocols.
In the upcoming days we give further updates about the next steps.
Information communicated by the Belgian gouvernment
Here are the conditions given by the Belgian government to organize big events such as Tomorrowland this summer:
- If 70% of the adults resident in Belgium got their first dose of vaccine by the 30 of July
- If the number of people admitted at the hospitals because of Covid decreases significantly, with less than 500 people in intensive care
Then the events outside can be organized as from 13th of August, and without any capacity limit.
To be able to attend to Tomorrowland, the people would need to have a valid “Covid Safety Ticket”. This is a document (digital or paper) showing that the person either:
- Is Fully vaccinated
- Did a PCR test in the last 2 or 3 days (to be clarified)
- Immunized after being infected by Covid lately
It seems that it will also be possible to do a fast antigen test at the entrance of Tomorrowland. But this still needs to be clarified.
With the news received so far, it seems that only people resident in Europe, Switzerland and United Kingdom could attend Tomorrowland. We have to wait more to know exactly if it will be the case. Hopefully other countries with a stable Covid situation will also be able to attend.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hopefully everybody will be able to attend Tomorrowland Belgium 2021.
